A Dynamic Model of Economic-Vocational Education based on the Fundamental Transformation Document in the Elementary School Curriculum

Abstract

The present article aims to present a dynamic model of economic-vocational education based on the Fundamental Transformation Document in the elementary school curriculum and was conducted using a mixed method (sequential exploratory). In the qualitative section, data were collected using a meta-synthesis method and analyzed using a content analysis approach. The research area included all domestic scientific articles related to the research topic for the years 1390 to 1401 in the context of domestic electronic scientific databases including; the National Publications Database, the Islamic World Science Citation Database, the specialized journals Noor, Magiran, Civilica, and Elmnet. Based on the entry and exit criteria for selecting selected research, 14 articles were selected from 74 identified and related studies and the resulting data were analyzed using the content analysis method with MAXQDA software. The result of data analysis in the qualitative section was the identification of 74 primary themes and 30 basic themes, which were categorized under six indicators of the economic-vocational education area of the Fundamental Transformation Document. In the quantitative part, with the aim of modeling the economic-vocational education system, the system dynamics modeling method, which is a method for analyzing the behavior of variables in complex systems, was used. Based on the stages of system dynamics modeling, first the causal loops of the themes and indicators were drawn using the data obtained from the qualitative part of the research, and then by designing the dynamic model of the economic-vocational education curriculum, the behavior of key variables was analyzed over a ten-year time horizon (1398-1408). The research achievement suggests a suitable tool for upgrading and improving the traditional scenarios of the elementary economic education curriculum.
