The present research seeks to study the effectiveness of group training on positive thinking skillsbased on Islamic approach on the teenage girls’ emotional maturity and Patience. The study was based on semi-experimental design with pretest-posttest and control group. The study population included all female students’ of Saveh in 2015-2016 academic years. Two low schools were chosen based on availability sampling. Thirty students of these high schools who gained low scores in Emotional Maturity Scales were assigned randomly to two experimental and control groups (each includes 15 students). Data were collected applying the Emotional Maturity Scale of Shivdan Singh Bhargava (1990). Following the research design, first both groups attended the pretest, then the experimental group received 8 sessions of group training of positive thinking skills based on Islamic approach and finally both groups took part in the posttest. The gathered data were analyzed using T-test and covariance analysis. The outcomes illustrated the effectiveness of group training on positive thinking skills with Islamic approach on the teenage girls’ emotional maturity on two subscales of emotional stability and emotional return. The results illustrated that group training the positive thinking skills based on Islamic approach can be used by the school consultants as an effective method to improve emotional maturity and Patience.
